What a rescue pays

A registered rescue picks whichever tier it needs on capability alone and the monthly fee is $0, permanently. Every tier carries the same transaction rates, which are the lowest in the product. Rates shown are Canadian; international card and currency-conversion surcharges are passed through. Enterprise is not offered at launch.
On a $100 transaction, processing is $3.65 in total, whether the booking came from Petworking or straight from you. The processing rate already includes the card-processing cost.

What you save against rescue software
Petworking charges a registered rescue no subscription at all, and the lowest rates in the product on what it takes. The two common alternatives price per adoption or in flat monthly tiers, on top of their own card fees. This compares software cost only. Per-adoption pricing is Shelterluv's published $2.00 US an adoption, billed monthly, with no subscription, no setup, add-on or support fees, free data import including history, and no charge on transfers, return to pet parent or TNR, shown here at about $2.70 Canadian. Shelterluv also publishes 3.4% plus 30 cents on card payments through its own checkout. Petworking has no rescue subscription and no marketplace commission on any transaction, but payment processing is 3.35% plus 30 cents. Flat tiers are third-party figures of roughly $25, $50 and $100 a month for small, mid and large rescue plans. Converted and third-party numbers, so check them before quoting them.

It is the software cost avoided: processing still applies, and marketplace commission is charged only on transactions Petworking generates.
The passport is the part rescues tell us they want
Every animal that passes through a rescue accumulates a history: what it arrived weighing, what it was treated for, what it is frightened of. That history is usually held in a folder, a spreadsheet and somebody's head, and most of it does not survive the adoption.
In Petworking the history belongs to the animal. You enter it once and it goes where the animal goes.
At intake
Create the animal. Species, estimated age, weight, microchip if there is one. The record exists from the first day.
In your care
Your vet adds vaccinations and treatments under their own verified licence. Fosters add weights and notes. Every line names who wrote it and cannot be edited afterwards.
At adoption
The passport transfers to the adopting household. They get the whole history, you keep a copy of the record as it stood on the day it left.
Afterwards
If the animal comes back, its record comes back with it. You are not starting from a blank form and a phone call.
Things we are not going to do
Worth writing down, because a free tier for charities is usually the sort of thing that quietly acquires conditions.
- No monthly fee to waive, so no expiry, no renewal and no annual reapplication.
- No upgrade prompt, no paywall and no trial countdown shown to a rescue, anywhere in the product.
- No AI writing your adoption notes or scoring your applicants. Rules that decide something are written down and arguable.
- No delivery promise. Orders are collected in person at launch. Delivery is coming later.
