If Petworking introduces a client once and six months later they book you directly, that later transaction is 0% commission. Attribution attaches to the transaction, never to the customer, so you never acquire a permanently commissioned client.
Registered rescues
Payment processing is 3.35% + $0.30, the lowest rate in the product, and marketplace commission is 0% on every transaction, including the ones Petworking generates. Permanently. Not a discount and not a promotion. An animal adopted from a registered rescue does not count towards a pet parent’s three-pet free plan either.

Two questions, two calculators, because putting them in one overstates the case. The first is what happens if you replace the software you pay for now. The second is what a client the marketplace brings you costs.
Plan against plan: your Petworking tier plus payment processing, against a named MoeGo tier plus Square in-person processing at 2.5%. Both sides have tiers, so pick the two that actually match your operation. The figure is whatever it is, including when it goes the other way.
Both sides exclude per-booking amounts: Petworking's $0.30 a transaction, and any fixed per-transaction charge on the other side. Petworking's 7% marketplace commission is excluded because it applies only to transactions Petworking generates, and is $0 on clients you bring yourself. MoeGo Starter: Salon, per location. Published by MoeGo. MoeGo publishes salon plans at $79, $149 and $239 a month per location, and mobile plans at $49, $99 and $159 per van, with card processing billed separately. Most of these vendors publish in US dollars while Petworking prices in Canadian dollars, which moves the crossover once converted. Vendor pricing changes, so check it before you decide.
Rover's published sitter fee is 20% of the bookings it delivers, 25% in California and on RoverGO, and it applies for as long as that client keeps booking. The Petworking marketplace commission is 7% on every plan, it applies only to a transaction Petworking generated, and it is $0 the next time that same client books you directly.
Rover figures use its published 20% sitter fee from Rover's help centre. California and RoverGO are 25%, an 11% booking fee is charged to the owner on top, and Rover is testing per-client tiers in selected cities. Payment processing applies to the transaction as well, as it does to every paid transaction, and it is a named rate rather than a hidden margin. A client who books you directly next time carries no marketplace commission at all.

It is its own named line at your plan’s rate, 4.25% down to 3.35% plus 30 cents. That is the whole card-processing figure and the processor is paid out of it by us, so you will not find a second charge stacked on top at checkout, on a statement, on a payout, or in an export.
