What is not allowed on Petworking, and how we decide.
How we decide
Every rule below is a rule, not a judgment. When we act, we name which rule applied and record it against the account.
No automated system decides whether you have broken one. A person does, and a person can be argued with.
Animals
- A species listed for a service must be legal to keep and trade where the business operates. An exemption is a document, and it can be uploaded.
- Listing photographs must not show housing below the published minimum for that species.
- A service that requires a licence cannot be offered without that licence on file. Boarding is refused outright without one.
Reviews
- A review must describe a real booking or purchase with that business.
- A review must not name a private individual, give a home address, or carry any other personal information about an identifiable person.
- A review must not be exchanged for anything of value, by either side.
Credentials
- Do not upload a document that is not yours, altered, or issued by yourself where the field expects an independent authority.
- Do not claim a badge family your credentials do not support. The badge follows the credential and its authority, so claiming does nothing anyway.
People
- No harassment of staff, of customers, or of our team.
- No contacting a customer for anything other than the booking or order they made with you.
- No using the network to recruit another business's customers away from a booking in progress.
The platform
- No scraping the marketplace, no automated bulk requests, no attempt to reach data your account is not granted.
- No reselling access to a business account, and no sharing a login instead of adding a staff member.
What happens
First, we remove or refuse the specific thing and tell you which rule applied. Repeated or serious breaches suspend the account.
A suspension names the rule, states what would lift it, and can be appealed to a person who was not involved in the original decision.
Reporting
Anything on the network can be reported from the thing itself. A report goes to a queue with a target response time and a named owner, and the person who reported it is told the outcome.
