01

Who we are

Petworking is a pet technology platform at petworking.pet, founded by Raymond Chizanga and based in Canada. It runs a network for pet care: bookings, records, commerce and referrals in one account.

Petworking is not affiliated with any similarly named podcast or association.

02

Accounts

A business account is held by the business, not by the person who created it. The owner controls who else has access and at what level.

A pet parent account is free and stays free. You can hold pets, records and history without paying anything.

  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Staff act under their own logins, and their actions are recorded against them.
  • Deleting a business account needs the owner's passkey and a typed confirmation. A manager cannot start it and neither can our support team.
03

What we charge

Businesses pay a monthly plan fee on paid plans and two separate transaction fees. Payment processing applies to every paid transaction. Marketplace commission is 7% on every plan and applies only to a transaction that Petworking Marketplace or Explore generated. It is $0 on customers you bring yourself, imported, added, booked through your own link or QR code, or returning to you directly.

Registered pet rescues pay no monthly plan fee on any tier. This is permanent policy, not a promotion, and it is not time limited. A registered rescue is charged payment processing, always at the lowest rate in the product: payment processing of 3.35% + $0.30 on every paid transaction, and no marketplace commission on any transaction, including one Petworking generated.

  • Free, $0 a month, payment processing 4.25% + $0.30, marketplace commission 7%
  • Independent, $29 a month, payment processing 3.80% + $0.30, marketplace commission 7%
  • Growth, $69 a month, payment processing 3.55% + $0.30, marketplace commission 7%
  • Multi-site, $229 a month, payment processing 3.35% + $0.30, marketplace commission 7%
  • Registered rescues, $0 a month on any tier, with payment processing at 3.35% + $0.30
  • Pet Parent, free. Pet Parent OS, $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year
  • Founding Pet Parent accounts: the first 100 eligible Pet Parent accounts that claim Founder membership pay no subscription fee for Founder membership for the life of the account, subject to these Terms

Founding Pet Parent accounts

The first 100 eligible Pet Parent accounts that claim Founder membership pay no subscription fee for Founder membership for the life of the account. There is no subscription, no one-time charge and no renewal, and the membership does not convert to a paid plan later.

The life of the account means from the moment the account claims a Founder place until the account is closed, by you or by us under these Terms. Closing the account ends the Founder membership and it cannot be moved to another account, transferred or sold. An account closed and later recreated is a new account and does not carry a Founder place.

Founder membership covers the Pet Parent OS subscription fee and nothing else. Payment processing, marketplace purchases, deliveries, text messages, insurance premiums, financing and anything a third party charges per use are unaffected.

The underlying Pet Passport and the records in it are free regardless of Founder membership, as set out above. Founder changes what an account pays. It does not change what an account owns.

05

Records belong to the animal

A pet's passport, medical history, vaccinations, licences and emergency information are free at every tier, permanently. Pet Parent OS adds analysis of that data. It never controls access to it.

You can export your records at any time. If an export fails, that is a fault on our side and we will fix it. It is never a plan limit.

06

What a business sees

A business sees the fields the pet's owner has granted it, and nothing else. Granting is per business and can be withdrawn.

Withdrawing a grant removes the field from that business's next read. Records they already hold from a completed visit stay in their own notes, which is how care records work.

07

Payments and Protected Payment

Payment is taken when the order or booking is made and held until the work is done or the goods are collected. We call this Protected Payment.

The release trigger depends on the type of purchase. Collection releases on redemption at the counter, a service releases when the business marks it complete, and the release window is 24 or 48 hours after that, set by the business.

If a buyer takes no action, the window expires and the payment releases automatically.

08

Collection, and what we do not promise

Collection from the business is the only fulfilment option Petworking offers. Petworking delivery is coming soon and we do not date it.

A business with its own vehicles may arrange and schedule its own delivery. That is an arrangement between the business and its customer. Petworking is not the carrier and does not stand behind it.

09

Verification, and what a badge means

A badge states what was checked and how. Professional licence verified means a statutory licence was checked against the body that issues it. Document submitted means a business uploaded a document and nobody has confirmed it with an issuer.

A badge is a statement about a document. It is not a warranty of the quality of anyone's work, and it is not a recommendation.

10

Listings, reviews and content

You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us permission to display it where the product needs to display it, such as showing your storefront to a customer searching for you.

We remove content that breaks the acceptable use policy. The reason is recorded and the person who posted it is told.

11

Suspension

We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we say which rule was broken. Where the problem is a lapsed credential, we say which credential and what would restore the account.

A suspension that stops a business trading is a decision we take by hand, not automatically, unless a licence required for a service has expired.

12

Liability

Petworking provides the software and holds the records you put into it. The care an animal receives is the responsibility of the person or business giving it.

A badge states which document was checked and how. It does not guarantee anyone's work.

Nothing in these terms removes a right you have under the law where you live.

13

Changes and governing law

We tell you before terms change in a way that affects what you pay or what you can do, and we say what changed.

Petworking is based in Canada. The consumer law where you live applies alongside these terms, and where it gives you more, it wins.
